CESÁREA, más allá de la Herida
I created the photographic series “CESAREAN, beyond the Wound” in collaboration with the Association El Parto es Nuestro (Birth is Ours). The series is comprised by more than thirty photographs of women that had cesarean sections and some brief and precise commentaries from the protagonists. The images show the physical and emotional scar. They invite the viewer to contemplate the wound and to go beyond, to reach some sort of understanding and commitment for a respectful birth care.
Most of these photographs have been published in the book “CESÁREA, más allá de la Herida”, Editorial Ob Stare (2010).

He creado la serie fotográfica “CESÁREA, más allá de la Herida” en colaboración con la Asociación EL PARTO ES NUESTRO. La serie recoge una treintena de fotografías de mujeres cesareadas, acompañadas de cortos y precisos comentarios de las protagonistas. Las imágenes muestran la cicatriz física y la cicatriz emocional, al tiempo que invitan al espectador a contemplar la herida para ir más allá de ella, para llegar a la reconciliación y al compromiso con una atención respetuosa del parto.
La mayoría de estas fotografías han sido publicadas en el libro “CESÁREA, más allá de la Herida”, Editorial Ob Stare (2010).
